Welcome to South East Texas PGR...

This web site is intended to be the primary source for all planned missions in SETexas.  The default page will always begin with a calendar of the current month and about the first two weeks of the next month.

The South East Texas PGR is comprised of all National PGR members that live within the SE Texas region. This region is 25 counties and is loosely bordered by Newton County in the north east to Brazos Co in North west,  Washington Co to  Wharton Co in the West, then Brazoria Co in the south to the Tx/Louisiana border, plus every thing in between. When a mission is near this loosely defined border we will join the efforts with the other regions such as Louisiana, East Tx, Central Tx, and/or South Tx.  As the need arises the SETexas PGR leadership may send notices or plan missions out side of our area. However any mission within SETexas will have precedence for our Ride Captain team.

Since we are members of the National organization we have the same mission statement. If you are not a member of either you can register at: PGR National and sign up for email BLASTS at the "Requests eMail Blast" tab above. All KIA missions in SETexas will have priority over other SETexas missions, such as Veteran services, Welcome Homes, Memorial Services, or other PGR planned events.

** To honor our fallen heroes, KIA missions,  is our primary objective in the PGR.  When we have a KIA mission in the works we can not have Welcome Home Rides or attend services for our veterans.   We try to honor all request but if there is a conflict with the services for our KIA we may have to stand down.  Please remain flexible (Semper Gumby!)

* ESCORTS:  Many people have seen us as we travel with our flags flying in a funeral procession or other event. The assumption is then made that we provide escorts for the family and/or soldiers. In fact WE DO NOT ESCORT ANYONE. An escort is provided by the Police. We provide a Rolling Tribute of Honor and Respect for the soldier and family while the police are escorting all of us!! We do work with the police and encourage their assistance to insure the safety of our riders and the family members in the procession. If police are NOT escorting the procession then to protect the safety of our riders we will not participate in the procession.

What other say we do...

The best way to understand what we do is to attend a mission. Words just do not give it justice. In lue of attending a mission, watch this video that was put together by the national ABC News on SE Texas and what we do.

Mission Statement...

The Patriot Guard Riders is a diverse amalgamation of riders from across the nation. We have one thing in common besides motorcycles. We have an unwavering respect for those who risk their very lives for America's freedom and security. If you share this respect, please join us.

We don't care what you ride, what your political views are, or whether you're a "hawk" or a "dove". It is not a requirement that you be a veteran. It doesn't matter where you're from or what your income is.  You don't even have to ride. The only prerequisite is Respect.

Our main mission is to attend the funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family. Each mission we undertake has two basic objectives.

  1. Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities.
  2. Shield the mourning family and friends from interruptions created by any protestor or group of protestors.
We accomplish the later through strictly legal and non-violent means.

Special Projects....

Special Projects will allow us to have water and snacks at missions, mission pins to give to to LEOs and military members who help support our mission, plus USA Flags, and gasoline for the official support vehicles, etc. We are now purchasing mission plaques locally and this will help pay for them.  We also have unique ceremonies for flag dedications, sponsor/assist Blood drives for our soldiers in war zones, ship Christmas presents to Iraq, and much more.  Current projects are:
